1. Phase: robin round

The regular season in the Alps Hockey League 2023/2024 is still divided into two phases.
First, the 16 participating teams will face each other in a round robin until January 6th.
In the first phase of the regular season the teams play 30 games per team.

2. Phase: Master & Qualification rounds

For the second phase of the basic round, the field will be divided into three groups:
In the master- and in both qualification rounds, a round-robin format will be played.
The top six teams will then play on a round-robin in the master round.
The teams of the Master Round are definitely qualified for the Playoffs.
The remaining teams will play in the qualification rounds, in two groups of five teams:
After a round robin, the top 2 teams of the qualificatin roundswill be in the pre-playoffs.
In both the Master- and the Qualification Round, a round-robin format will be played.
Bonus point allocation for the second phase of the basic round
The performances from the first phase of the championship will be rewarded for master- and qualification rounds by bonus points as follows:
- Master-Round: 4, 3, 2, 1, 0, 0
- Qualification round A: Place 7 (6 points), 10 (3), 11 (2), 14 (0), 15 (0)
- Qualification round B: Place 8 (5 points), 9 (4), 12 (1), 13 (0), 16 (0)

Pre-Playoffs
Dal-vom 27.2.2024 al-bis 2.3.2024
The pre-playoffs in "best-of-3" mode will be played following the second phase of the regular season.
The top two teams from the qualification groups will play in a "best-of-three" series for the two remaining playoff spots (each first against second).

The quarterfinal pairings will then be decided by pick.
The further postseason will be played in «best-of-seven» mode.
The champion of the 2023/2024 season is to be decided no later than Saturday, April 20th.

Der 1. Platzierte sucht sich einen Play-off Gegner aus (5. bis 8.).
Anschließend der Zweite, dann der Dritte und der Vierte.

Die beiden Sieger des Halbfinales bestreiten das Finale.

AHL - Endless overtime
Pre-playoff & Playoff
Starting in the pre-playoff, if the score is tied after regular playing time, an endless overtime with sudden-death will be played.
In non-decision games, the number of field players will be reduced to three players plus one goalie per team after the first complete overtime of 20 minutes.
In deciding games, five-on-five shall be played until the winning goal is scored.
Ab dem Pre-Playoff wird bei gleichem Score nach regulärer Spielzeit eine Endless-Overtime mit Sudden-Death gespielt.
Bei Nichtentscheidungsspielen wird die Anzahl an Feldspielern nach der ersten kompletten Verlängerung von 20 Minuten auf drei Akteure plus einen Tormann pro Mannschaft reduziert.
In Entscheidungsspielen wird bis zum Siegestor fünf gegen fünf gespielt.
